John Christopher - French Wives (1975)

A x-rated classic from the good old 70's, in an amazing copy. The story is nice and the lovely Tina Russel and Andrea True star. The true is that they don't make porn films anymore. We just have hardcore scenes shot on video, with artificial performes. The classic era had real people in front of the cameras. There were even production values, if you compare whit most of what is done today. You can see that by the beautiful French views and fair cinematography.

This dark offbeat comedy from Marco Ferreri features Marcello Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve. Mastroianni plays Giorgio, who lives on a island somewhere off the Mediterranean coast of France. He lives there with his dog, and the remains of an old German World War II airbase.

Plot / Synopsis

A cash strapped college student goes to work as an escort in order to make ends meet, only to realize that her education has taken a back seat to her budding career in the pleasure industry. Then, just when Laura is at her most desperate, she sees an internet ad from a man who's willing to pay £100 an hour to spend an intimate evening with a willing student. Compelled by the lure of some easy money, Laura answers the ad. Later, despite a promise to herself that this will be a once time occurrence, Laura finds herself falling into a new bed every night, and making more money than she ever thought possible. Walerian Borowczyk - Les Heroines du Mal AKA Heroines of Evil AKA Three Immoral Women (1979)

 




Each of the three women in this film shows a tendency to kill their human lovers, and two of them evince a sexual attachment to their pets. In the first story, the model for artist Raphael seduces and kills Raphael and another man. In the second, a girl with a suspiciously satisfying relationship with her pet rabbit murders her parents for killing her bunny. Finally, Marie has a dog whose unusual means of effecting her rescue not only saves her from a kidnapper, but gets her out of an unhappy marriage.
